(BBC Sports) AZ Alkmaar's Oussama Idrissi could make his debut form Morocco against Cameroon
Oussama Idrissi has been included in the Morocco's preliminary squad for upcoming matches against Cameroon and Tunisia.
His club in the Netherlands AZ Alkmaar announced his inclusion in Morocco coach Herve Renard's plans on its website.
The 22-year-old has played for Netherlands at various youth levels but is eligible for Morocco through his parents.
The Atlas Lions host Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on 16 November and will play Tunisia in a friendly four days later.
Southampton’s Sofiane Boufal is currently on loan to Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo and he is set to earn a recall by Morocco.
The midfielder is putting in some impressive performances in the La Liga this season and they have been noticed by Morocco boss Herve Renard.
The winger has played eight times in the Spanish top flight this term, managing to find the back of the net twice and providing one assist in the process.
With a crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier coming up for Morocco, Renard has suggested that Boufal will return to his side.
When speaking about Boufal, Renard said:
There may be a return.
I think because of his performance, Sofiane Boufal deserves to return. I know him better than anyone since I managed him at club level [at Lille].
It’s good that he stayed a little out of the national team and I hope he will come back even stronger and with a slightly different mindset.
Boufal failed to live up to the expectations at the Saints and manager Mark Hughes didn’t have him as part of his plans for this season.
